Will Siebel CRM die in 2020?

Bub: Is isnt it already dead? Dont worry it has 8 more lives left 😀😀

Will customers avoid 20.1 because it is "version 1"?

Bub: That's actually helpful, better start from scratch if you can't compete with Salesforce.com
 

Will people stop saying "IP 19" (or 18 or 20)?

Bub: People please stop saying IP.. someone is very touchy about it 😁😁

Will Web Tools reach parity with Siebel Tools?

Bub: It better not... Salesforce has Reporting, AI, Search, App Exchange, Modern Tools with CI CD, code quality check, unit tests. If Web tools comes out it might persuade Salesforce implementations to re-adopt Siebel.

Will the mystery of the missing 10th month in bookshelf ever be solved?

Bub: meow

Will IE still be the "standard browser" for corporations?

Bub: That is the first good question. Chrome has allready launched with enterprise management . Edge with chromium could be the next best thing too. In 2020 IE as we know it should be gone forever. Let's revisit this in 2021. 

Will Siebel Migration Application get its own bookshelf guide?

Bub: Do you mean Siebel to Salesforce migration?😀 It should definitely be a thing.

Will 20.1 include new features?

Bub: What new features.. have you seen salesforce idea exchange? It has been running for years now. forget about feature oracle, think about hiring some product owners, or business consultants first.

Will the site map button return to the original icon?

Bub: Salesforce gets a new icon every release.

Will 2020 be the year of Siebel Approval Manager?

Bub: How many Siebel instances will give way for Salesforce in 2020? I bet 10 more?

Will there be a backup/recovery/monitoring/logging tool for ZooKeeper?

Bub: I am scared. There are big cats in the zoo

Will the AI be rebranded to SWSE?

Bub: You mean new wine in old bottle. Doesn't make sense to me.

Will there be a 25-year anniversary theme?

Bub: Noooo. people like new things now... bragging own age is thing of the past. You will just be confirming you are out of league.

Will list applets have a vertical scrollbar again?

Bub: Why do we need to see more records than we need? It should implement something which helps user to find accurate records.

Will the Entity-Relationship-Designer be available in Web Tools?

Bub:Nooo.. lil birdy tells me.. oracle is running out of funds to keep up with Siebel Product management. Moreover it does not add any customer and user benefit. I don't think it is coming so soon.

Will Quick Print come back and did anyone miss it?

Bub: What quick print?

Will Amazon buy Oracle?

Bub: hmmm thats interesting... there are lot of arguments on this topic. First of all they are arch rivals I wonder how would M&A will go.  Secondly I feel Amazon is much bigger than Oracle, already it is number one cloud provider , and it won't help Amazon too much on its path. Oracle is too monolithic.

Salesforce on other hand is too lucrative for Amazon. Salesforce has great customer base and which align with cloud goals.

Will an AI use ML to create applets on demand?

Bub: Not too fast... haven't seen any on demand things in Siebel before. 

Will there be ready-to-use docker images for Siebel CRM?

Bub: Community might create some. Pity on the guy who would be building it and poor guy who would use it... look on the other side of the fence, Salesforce never needs images for development, there are plenty of CD tools to implement the train in way shorter time than Oracle.

Will LOVs stay the only workspace-managed seed data type?

Bub honestly don't know about it.
